The voting results are in....

We want to share the results of yesterday’s school election.

​First, the most critical piece of news: Our school budget has officially passed. While the margin was slim, decided by just 26 votes..

Approved warrant articles include:

*Replacing the gym floor

*Continued investment in our classroom improvement capital reserve fund,

*Reserve funding for special education.

*Form a Withdrawal Study Committee to study the feasibility and suitability of withdrawing from the AREA Agreement with the Rochester School Department

*Designate Paul School as an open enrollment elementary school , but to limit the number of students who reside outside the Wakefield School District to attend Paul School to no more than 5% of total enrollment and limit the percentage of students who may attend open enrollment schools, located outside of the Wakefield School District, to 0%.

Additional warrant articles did not pass:

*Replacing gym bleachers

*Paving 76 Taylor Way

*Technology Trust Fund

*Truck
